If your church uses PowerPoint, Media Shout, or other software to project text, video and images on screen, here are a few resources that I visit often:
- http://www.creationswap.com/ – a mix of free and paid imagery. Good quality graphics.
- http://sharefaith.com – paid subscription that my church is definitely getting our money’s worth from – includes slides, video clips, bulletin covers, flyers, and newsletter templates. Often, they have blank versions of the graphics so we can use them and add customized text. They recently added a PPT add-on software called Exalt Now to allow video to run underneath your PPT text. (We are still experimenting with that. Anyone using it?)

If you’re a font junkie like me, here are a couple of good resources for free fonts. This is something I try to be very careful about because free doesn’t always mean it was intended to be freely distributed. There are actual people designing these things, and I like to make sure they get paid if they were expecting to. That being said, sometimes they’re happy to share for free:
- MyFonts.com – owned by Bitstream – is a reputable resource. http://www.myfonts.com/search/free/fonts/
- One of Creative Pro’s contributors runs a “Free for All” at least monthly – often for fonts, but sometimes for other great goodies. Sometimes these links expire, but there’s still lots of goodness. http://www.creativepro.com/search/node/free+for+all
Now – don’t go crazy with the fonts onscreen. Re-read Taylor’s great post on Worship Backgrounds!
